Where To Stay :

Actually we prefer to stay in home stay rather than resort or hotel. Actually Coorg is very special for homestay. As homestay is surrounded by coffee and spices plantation .Its like  living in small mini forest.you can hear bird chirping sound, wild insects sound . Its so natural and lively which you can’t experience in resort. You can also enjoy their homemade food and their own cultivated coffee.
Near Marcad Homestay

We stayed in Marcad homestay twice , and experience with Marcad was really Great ,  actually it was run by a small family ,they serve really good home food with snacks on evening , dinner , breakfast just we need to order. Third time We have stayed in budget home stay “Haveli” , very cheap but not Hygiene , its situated in between the place like forest , Though we felt little unhygienic here but we enjoyed a lot , infect if you are wildlife enthusiast specially interested in bird watching / bird photography you can consider to chose Haveli as well but keep in mind your Hygine Thought. My Hubby had very nice experience with Honey Valley Estate as well.

Select homestay  located in madikeri ,as it will be like  center of every destination you want to visit.
Some well known homestay are :
1) Bethel Home Stay
2) Honey Pot Homes
3) Serene Homestay
4) Honey Valley Estate

Beautiful Goa

We visited goa in month of December around Christmas, so we enjoyed Christmas as well as our anniversary. Some one wants to get relief from their stressful life and want to have some fun then this is the place. Perfect place for honeymoon or anniversary celebration, couple can spent really quality time and at the same time can have huge amount of fun. We had seen couples, even very elderly couple from across the glob were enjoying life in fullest. view from any of the beaches while relaxing at sea bed , cold breeze and watching blue sea eventually kissing blue sky , everything was so beautiful and touching. At this place when question comes like ‘fun for bachelors’ , then answer is  ‘there is no limit’.

About Goa :-

Goa is one of the world’s famous exotic  tourist destination. It is located in western zone of India called as konkan. It is about 3700 square kilometers. Its Surrounded by Arabian Sea at western coast Goa is divided into south and north goa.
North Goa has places  like Calangute, Baga, Candolim, penjim that are the busiest places and are quite famous , In the South its more quiet and places such as Palolem, Colva, Benaulim etc are quite good.
North Goa is relatively busier than South Goa. North has more entertainment, restaurants, clubs, pubs, shops and beautiful crowded beaches, South has peace and quiet and beautiful empty beaches.

Places to visit :

 1.  Beaches : Goa Beaches are considered to be some of the stunning beaches in the world , we preferred North Goa Beaches than south during our stay , and spent most of the time at Baga Beach , Calangute beach and Anjuna Beach, As these beaches were very near to our resort at Baga Area.

A.  Baga Beach : One of the crowded beach and beautiful beach , well maintained, and it has beach sides club , pubs and disco near by. Famous Tito’s Pub is very near to Baga Beach. Baga beach is famous for Water sports as well. During our visit we had taken all kinds of riding, and it was so fun.

B.   Calanguete Beach : Little less crowded than Baga Beach,  evening view at Calangute      beach is amazing , one can go for water sport here as well , and yeah this beach also has some disco and pubs.

Follow Us in Google+ for more updates , click on this following button ---->

C.   Anjuna Beach  : Real good part of this beach is that,  It is both a rocky and a sandy         beach , Anjuna Beach is known for its full moon parties.

D.  Dona Paula Beach : This beach is one of the most happening beaches of Goa because of the various water sports facilities offered here.

2.       Basilica of Bom Jesus Church : There are many famous church over here , but Basilica of Bom Jesus Church is the most famous of all churches., it is built in 16th Cenctury, This church is now a World Heritage Monument. The church is located in Old Goa, about 10 km from Panji and nearly 25 km from Baga.

3.      Fort Aguada and light house : Very famous fort , and this the place where Dil Chahta hai shooting was done.

4.      Panaji (Panjim)’s Ferry Point : Here one can go to ferry point and can book any ferry , evening ferry is beautiful with glittering lights , there is disco as well , and live performance is really good, but some how we didn’t like this part this much , may be because of crowd , or it was more like city again.

5.      Dudhsagar Falls : This waterfall is world's most exquisite falls that lies in IndiaIt is located on the Mandovi river at the border of Karnataka and Goa and its about 60km from Panaji.

Where To Stay:

I would suggest, one should plan to book Hotels / Resort in 1-2 month advance , specially during November to Jan Month (Christmas eve to New Year celebration ), these are peak time.

For our stay we have book in two month advance, after going through couple of review we have decided to book either Silk Cotton Resort situated at Bogmalo Beach  or Lagoa Azul resort Located near the lagoon in Little Baga, Silk Cotton was our first priority then Lagoa Azul resort,  as both has good reviews , but some how our plan couldn’t match with Silk Cotton , as type of suite we were planning were full ( Due to Christmas eve )  , then we have booked at Lagoa Azul resort, and we had really great stay at Lagoa Azul resort at given price, room was clean and maintained at Star level , all basic amenities were provided , swimming pool was clean , and food was really great, and staff were really polite.

There is small bakery shop near to Lagoa Azul resort, it is being run by guy name alphanso , he offers two wheeler  for rent, yeah one more best thing in goa is one should not worry about transportation , here you can easily rent Four Wheeler or Two Wheeler. For First three Day we have booked Avenger from Alphonso at 200 INR per day cost and last day we had gone for Honda activa at 150 INR.

2nd Day : Exploring Sakaleshpur and nearby area :
After  having testy breakfast at hotel we started our bikes and headed towards sakaleshpur area, what should i say about this place , in my point of view i would say this place is another Scotland of india apart from Coorg, we had spent whole day nearby areas , and explored couples of waterfalls.

Kanha National Park

Famous and Rare Barasingha, only available at Kanha National Park.

We have visited Kanha in the month of January 2012 , it was a great experience. Kanha is very rich in flora and fauna , lush green with full of vegetation, we had very limited time and we could have only one safari trip , We have planned this trip specially for Tiger sighting and photographing , though we could have glimpse of Tiger jump for few seconds just from in front of our vehicles  , we couldnt photograph it , but experience was amazing and full of thrill. apart from tiger sighting we have sighted , Barasingha , Sambar , Nil Gai , Spotted dears , Black Buck  and Bison in mammals and in birds Racket Tailed Drongo , Black Drongo ,  white billed Drongo , Tree Pie , Stone Chat male and female ,  Peacock , Black Red Start , Tickel’s Blue Flycatcher , Lark , Pipit , Crested Serpent Eagle , Changeable Hawk Eagle , Tawny Eagle, Sun Birds, flower Pecker , Spotted Owlets,  Buzzard, Red-wattled Lapwing and Reptiles. Believe me Kanha trip was worth to visit , and we have enjoyed each and every moment.

Few Thing we noted about Kanha ,  things to do , where to stay , how to reach , best time to visit and some photographs from Kanha is as follows -->

About Kanha National Park:

The Kanha National Park is in the Mandala and Balaghat District of Madhya Pradesh, India,  emerge as Kanha Tiger Reserve on 1955 and declared as a part of Project Tiger on 1974. Kanha national Park is spread across 1940 square kilo meters , This National Park is Divided in three Zone Kanha , Muki and Kisli. Kanha is famous for tigers and Barasingha (Swamp Deer ) , as of now as per guide there are 81 tigers and 96 leopards across all three zones, The big cats tigers and leopards are biggest predators  in the food chain. Besides the big cats wild dogs, wild cat, fox and the jackal are carnivores commonly seen at Kanha. This place is heaven for birds watchers.

Kanha Safari

We have gone for many safaris in various forests but Safari at Kanha was amazing,  we had chosen morning 6 am to 11am Safari. sighted many bird species and mammals . morning 9.30 to 10.00 am we got a chance to take a break for break fast and Tea , there is cafeteria inside forest itself , there we had light breakfast , and spent some time in exhibition hall, exhibition Hall is well maintained and they have kept lots of information about wildlife in display . One can go for elephant safari from same place , 200 INR extra charges for Elephant Safari.

Things to do

One Should plan for at least 3-4 Rides ( Safari ) for tiger sighting , unfortunately due to limited time we stayed only for one day and managed to get single ride which was not at all sufficient when place comes like Kanha. when you book any hotel / Resorts they can book for you ride/Safari on behalf of you , you should confirm this safari booking process with hotel /Resort manager upfront while booking for your stay , if you get chance for elephant safari then don't miss it,  Kanha is famous for 5 Pair Owlets , present at Banyan Tree near Kisali Gate , you can request your Guide / Driver to wait for some time near banyan tree , believe me watching those owlets group is amazing , but please , you and your group should be quite while watching them .

Where to Stay :

There are many good resorts / hotel , while we were planning for Kanha trip, we have gone through many travelers review for hotels / Resorts ,  i have seen really good review for these hotes / Resorts ( 1. Muba at Mukki 2. Kanha Jungle Lodge 3 . Tuli Tiger Resorts ) , there are some luxury resorts too , Our Budget was Limited as we were gonna have kanha trip just After Tadoba , so we have booked a budget hotel ( Motel Chandan ) it is very near to Kisali gate, and really good place for enthusiastic bird watcher / Photographer , i would say in given budget they have provided really good amenities and manager dinesh makhija was so cooperative , we felt great hospitality and help from staff and Dinesh.

How To Reach :

We have booked a Scorpio and started our journey from Bhiali, Chhattisgarh,
Kanha is nearly
250 km from Bhilai.
270 from Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

240 from Nagpur, Maharashtra.
150 km from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

one can fly down any of these places ( Raipur, Nagpur or Jabalpur) and can book suitable vehicle like Qualis or Scorpio. Road from Balaghat to Kanha is not so good , before traveling one should inquire about road condition also.

Best Time to Visit :

This Park is open from Mid of October to End of June , During rainy season park will be closed. Best time to visit would be summer, though place would be so hot but for enthusiastic wildlife photographers and for those who are anxious for tiger sighting, summer is the best time.

Safari Timing : Morning Safari - 6 A.M. to 11 A.M.
                Evening Safari - 3 P.M. to 6  p.M.

Some Photographs :

Please do share with Friends and Family ,  This information can be helpful for those who are planning to visit Kanga.
